Il est n\u00e9 le 6 novembre 1814 \u00e0 Dinant, en Belgique. Jusqu&rsquo;\u00e0 sa mort en 1894, sa vie fut d\u00e9di\u00e9e \u00e0 la musique. En 2012, sa marque \u00ab\u00a0Adolphe Sax &amp; Cie\u00a0\u00bb a \u00e9t\u00e9 relanc\u00e9e par Karel Goetghebeur \u00e0 Bruges : \u00ab\u00a0Nous fabriquons des saxophones tels qu&rsquo;ils \u00e9taient con\u00e7us par leur inventeur : toujours \u00e0 la recherche de l&rsquo;innovation, d&rsquo;un son magnifique et d&rsquo;une jouabilit\u00e9 contemporaine.
